“For ye see your calling, brethren, how that not many wise men after the flesh, not many mighty, not many noble, are called: ”

A calling, an invitation. God has called you to His kingdom and glory. Your calling is not a job description. It is an identity.

Many, much, great. Polus. Much fruit. Many witnesses. Great grace. God is not stingy. He gives abundantly to those who are connected to the vine.

Wise, skilled in living. Sophos. The wise person builds on rock, not sand. Wisdom is proved right by her deeds. Build accordingly.

Possible, able, powerful. Dunatos. What is impossible with man is possible with God. The impossibilities of your life are the invitation for God to show what He can do.

Noble, well-born, generous in spirit. Eugenēs. The Bereans were called noble because they received the word eagerly and examined the Scriptures daily. True nobility is not rank but responsiveness to truth. Be that kind of noble.
