“And I was with you in weakness, and in fear, and in much trembling.”

I, me, myself. Egō. Jesus claimed it absolutely: "I AM." Every human "I" exists only because the great I AM first spoke. Your identity is derivative, not ultimate.

Fear, reverence, terror. Phobos. Perfect love casts out fear. Fear and love cannot fully coexist. As love grows fear shrinks. Let love displace what fear has occupied.

Trembling, fearful quaking. Trómos. Paul came to Corinth in weakness and in fear and in much trembling. Not all trembling signals doubt. Some signals the weight of holy things. Let it drive you to God, not from him.
