1 Corinthians 4:10
King James Version
7 Jun 2026
“We are fools for Christ’s sake, but ye are wise in Christ; we are weak, but ye are strong; ye are honourable, but we are despised.”
Χριστός
The one set apart and equipped for a specific task. Oil was poured on kings, priests and prophets in the Old Testament — the anointing meant: this one is chosen, this one is sent. Jesus stands up in Nazareth and reads Isaiah — and then says: this is Me. I am the one sent.

μωρός
Foolish, dull, without taste. Moros. God chose the foolish things of the world to shame the wise. What looks foolish to the world is wisdom to God. The cross is the prime example.
