“But he that hateth his brother is in darkness, and walketh in darkness, and knoweth not whither he goeth, because that darkness hath blinded his eyes.”

To hate, to detest, to dislike strongly. Hate what is evil and cling to what is good. Not everything deserves equal treatment. Some things must be rejected.

Blind, obscure, darken. Typhlóō. The god of this age blinds the minds of unbelievers so the light of the gospel cannot shine in. Spiritual blindness is not passive — it is an active work of the enemy. Walk in the light while you have it.
