“Nevertheless for David’s sake did the Lord his God give him a lamp in Jerusalem, to set up his son after him, and to establish Jerusalem:”

Lamp, burning light. Niyr. A flame that lights the way. Your word is a lamp to my feet, not a floodlight but just enough light for the very next step.
