“For this cause, when I could no longer forbear, I sent to know your faith, lest by some means the tempter have tempted you, and our labour be in vain.”

Faith, trust, belief, faithfulness. Pistis. Without faith it is impossible to please God. Faith is the currency of the kingdom. Everything flows to those who trust God completely.
