“Of whom is Hymeneus and Alexander; whom I have delivered unto Satan, that they may learn not to blaspheme. ”
παραδίδωμι
To hand over, to betray, to deliver up. He was delivered over to death for our sins and was raised to life for our justification. The delivering of Jesus was the saving of the world.

they may be disciplined

To train, to discipline, to educate. Paideuo. The Lord disciplines those He loves. Discipline is evidence of love not absence of it. God trains those He has chosen for greatness.
