“But they that will be rich fall into temptation and a snare, and into many foolish and hurtful lusts, which drown men in destruction and perdition.”
ἐπιθυμία
Desire, craving, longing. Epithumia. Do not fulfil the desires of the flesh. The flesh pulls toward what destroys. The Spirit pulls toward what gives life. Choose which you feed.

Snare, trap, noose. Pagis. The fear of man is a snare. People-pleasing is a trap that keeps you from pleasing God. Break free from the approval of others and live for His.
