“And the Lord God of their fathers sent to them by his messengers, rising up betimes, and sending; because he had compassion on his people, and on his dwelling place:”
חָמַל
Spare, have compassion. Chamal. To feel pity and act on it. As a father has compassion on his children so the LORD has compassion on those who fear Him.
