“For not he that commendeth himself is approved, but whom the Lord commendeth. ”
κύριος
Lord, master, owner. Kurios. Jesus is Lord. The foundational confession of Christianity. Lord means owner. To confess Jesus as Lord is to surrender ownership of your life.
