“So that contrariwise ye ought rather to forgive him, and comfort him, lest perhaps such a one should be swallowed up with overmuch sorrow.”
χαρίζομαι
To forgive, to give freely, to grant. Charizomai. Forgiving one another as God in Christ forgave you. The standard for our forgiveness of others is the standard of God's forgiveness of us.
