“For whether we be beside ourselves, it is to God: or whether we be sober, it is for your cause.”

Whether, if, or. Eíte. Paul uses it to hold together the diversity of the body: whether one part suffers, all suffer. No member of Christ stands apart from the rest. Your condition is never only yours.
