“Having therefore these promises, dearly beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God.”

Therefore, then, accordingly. Therefore since we have been justified through faith we have peace with God. The therefore of Scripture always builds on something God has already done.

To cleanse, to purify. Katharizo. The blood of Jesus cleanses us from all sin. All means all. There is no sin too dark too repeated or too shameful for His blood to cleanse.
