“Now I rejoice, not that ye were made sorry, but that ye sorrowed to repentance: for ye were made sorry after a godly manner, that ye might receive damage by us in nothing.”
χαίρω
To rejoice, to be glad. Chairo. Rejoice in the Lord always. Chairo is more than feeling happy. It is the settled joy of one who knows God is in control and that the outcome is certain.

Repentance, a change of mind and direction. Metanoia. God's kindness leads you to repentance. Repentance is not running from God. It is running to Him. It begins with His kindness.
