“I speak not by commandment, but by occasion of the forwardness of others, and to prove the sincerity of your love.”
ἐπιταγή
Command, authoritative decree. Epitagē. Paul writes that his apostleship came not by human will but by the epitagē of God. Where God commands, he carries full authority. Obey accordingly.

To say, to speak with authority. Jesus said and it was so. When Jesus speaks everything listens. His words carry the weight of creation behind them.

Other, different, another kind. Héteros. Not merely a second of the same, but a different order altogether. When Paul warns against a héteros gospel, he means one of a wholly different nature. Discern the difference.

Eagerness, earnestness, diligence. Spoudē. Whatever you do, do it with all diligence. Half-hearted devotion is not devotion. Bring your whole effort.

Genuine, legitimate, true-born. Gnēsios. Paul calls Timothy his genuine child in the faith. Authenticity in Christ is not performed, it is inherited through real relationship. Be genuine.

Test, examine, approve. Dokimazō. What survives testing is what gets approved. Offer your life to God as something worth examining.
