“And after that he gave unto them judges about the space of four hundred and fifty years, until Samuel the prophet.”
προφήτης
Prophet, one who speaks forth. Prophetes. No prophecy was ever produced by the will of man. The prophets spoke from God as they were carried along by the Holy Spirit.
