“And the brethren immediately sent away Paul and Silas by night unto Berea: who coming thither went into the synagogue of the Jews.”

Jewish, belonging to Judah. Ioudaios. Salvation is from the Jews. God chose a people to bring the Messiah into the world. His choice of Israel was for the benefit of all nations.
