Day. Hemera. This is the day the LORD has made. Every day is a gift from God. The right response to any day is rejoicing in the One who gave it.

A city in Macedonia, Philippi. Philippi. Paul planted a church here, and from prison wrote some of his most joy-filled words. Location does not limit faithfulness.

To come, to go, to arrive. Erchomai. Come Lord Jesus. The final prayer of Scripture is an invitation. The church lives in expectation of His return.

Troas, a city in Asia Minor. Trōás. Paul received his Macedonian vision here, and the gospel crossed from Asia into Europe. Ordinary places become turning points. Pay attention to where you are.

Five. Pénte. The number appears throughout Scripture in moments of provision and testing: five loaves feeding thousands, five wise virgins ready, five foolish ones not. What you have in hand is never too little if surrendered.

Remain, stay, spend time. Diatribō. The early church spent considerable time in places where the Spirit was at work. Don't rush out of what God has planted you in.

Seven, the number of completion. Hepta. Scripture marks sevens everywhere: days of creation, churches, seals, spirits before the throne. When God uses seven, he is signaling fullness. Pay attention.
