To teach, to instruct. Didasko. Go and make disciples teaching them. The Great Commission is not just evangelism. It is ongoing teaching and formation.

Moses, the Hebrew lawgiver. Mōseús. God spoke to Moses face to face, as a man speaks to a friend, yet Moses pointed beyond himself to one greater. Look to the one he foretold.

Nation, people group, Gentile. Ethnos. Go and make disciples of all nations. Every people group on earth is included in God's redemptive plan. None are excluded.

Jewish, belonging to Judah. Ioudaios. Salvation is from the Jews. God chose a people to bring the Messiah into the world. His choice of Israel was for the benefit of all nations.

To say, to speak with authority. Jesus said and it was so. When Jesus speaks everything listens. His words carry the weight of creation behind them.

Circumcise, cut around. Peritemnō. God commanded circumcision as a covenant sign, but the prophets called for circumcised hearts. The outward cut points to an inward surrender.

Child, offspring, one born. Téknon. To all who received him, he gave the right to become children of God. Belonging to God is not inherited by birth but received by faith.

But not, not even, nor. Mēde. A word that extends a refusal, carrying a "no" further down the line. Let your no mean no, all the way through.

Custom, habit, established practice. Ethos. Jesus was handed over according to the custom of the law, and he himself taught in the synagogue as was his habit. Faithful practice shapes faithful people. Build the right habits.

To walk, to live, to conduct oneself. Peripateo. Walk worthy of the calling to which you have been called. How you live is the walking commentary on what you believe.
