“And when he had said these words, the Jews departed, and had great reasoning among themselves.”
Ἰουδαῖος
Jewish, belonging to Judah. Ioudaios. Salvation is from the Jews. God chose a people to bring the Messiah into the world. His choice of Israel was for the benefit of all nations.

these things
