Acts 3:19
King James Version
10 Jun 2026
“Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord;”
μετανοέω
Meta — after. Noeo — to think. To think again after. Repentance is not self-punishment. It is a change of mind so complete that your direction changes. You were walking one way. Now you walk another. That is metanoia.
οὖν
therefore

οὖν
Therefore, then, accordingly. Therefore since we have been justified through faith we have peace with God. The therefore of Scripture always builds on something God has already done.

Sins
Expand ↓
ἁμαρτία
Sin, missing the mark. Hamartia. All have sinned and fall short of the glory of God. Sin is not just breaking rules. It is missing the target of what humanity was created to be.
