“And now I say unto you, Refrain from these men, and let them alone: for if this counsel or this work be of men, it will come to nought:”
οὗτος
This, this one, this person. This is My Son whom I love. With Him I am well pleased. The words spoken over Jesus are spoken over you through your union with Him.

Work, deed, act. Ergon. We are His workmanship created in Christ Jesus for good works. Good works are not the root of salvation. They are the fruit of it.
