Witness, one who testifies, martyr. Martus. You will be My witnesses. A witness testifies to what they have seen and experienced. Your testimony is your most powerful tool.

False, deceitful, wicked. Pseudḗs. God cannot lie, but the father of lies reproduces his nature in those who speak falsely. Do not let your words carry his image.

To say, to speak with authority. Jesus said and it was so. When Jesus speaks everything listens. His words carry the weight of creation behind them.

This, this one, this person. This is My Son whom I love. With Him I am well pleased. The words spoken over Jesus are spoken over you through your union with Him.

Stop, cease, come to an end. Pauo. The Spirit distributes gifts as He wills, and tongues will cease. What God pauses, He pauses with purpose. Rest in His timing.

To speak, to talk, to utter. He spoke and it was done. The word of God is not silent. It is always speaking.

Not logos — the written word — but rhema, the word spoken in the moment. The angel says to Mary: no rhema from God shall be without power. Every specific word God speaks into your situation carries the ability to accomplish itself. He does not speak empty words.
