“Then Simon himself believed also: and when he was baptized, he continued with Philip, and wondered, beholding the miracles and signs which were done.”

The root of our word dynamite. But dunamis is not explosive destruction — it is the inherent ability to accomplish what needs to be done. Jesus says you will receive this power. Not work for it, earn it or deserve it. Receive it. The Holy Spirit is not a reward. He is a gift.
