“The Lord shall smite thee in the knees, and in the legs, with a sore botch that cannot be healed, from the sole of thy foot unto the top of thy head.”

Foot, step, journey. Regel. The priest placed blood on the ear to hear God, the thumb to serve God, the foot to walk with God. The whole person consecrated — from hearing to doing to going.
