“Wherefore I praised the dead which are already dead more than the living which are yet alive.”

Life, living. Chay. The quality of being alive. The same root as Chayim, life in its fullness. God breathed chay into Adam's nostrils and he became a living soul.

To die, to be put to death. Muth. The sting of death is sin. But death has been swallowed up in victory. Jesus holds the keys of death.
