“And what is the exceeding greatness of his power to us-ward who believe, according to the working of his mighty power,”
δύναμις
The root of our word dynamite. But dunamis is not explosive destruction — it is the inherent ability to accomplish what needs to be done. Jesus says you will receive this power. Not work for it, earn it or deserve it. Receive it. The Holy Spirit is not a reward. He is a gift.
