“Whereby, when ye read, ye may understand my knowledge in the mystery of Christ)”
Χριστός
The one set apart and equipped for a specific task. Oil was poured on kings, priests and prophets in the Old Testament — the anointing meant: this one is chosen, this one is sent. Jesus stands up in Nazareth and reads Isaiah — and then says: this is Me. I am the one sent.

Understanding, intelligence, discernment. Sunesis. The peace of God which surpasses all understanding. Some of what God gives exceeds what the mind can process. Receive it anyway.

Mystery, secret, hidden thing. Musterion. The mystery of Christ hidden for ages but now revealed. The Gospel was always God's plan. It was hidden until the fullness of time.

To be able, to have power, to be capable. Dunamai. With God all things are possible. The limit of what is possible is not human ability but divine will.
