“And the Lord said unto Moses, Stretch out thine hand toward heaven, that there may be darkness over the land of Egypt, even darkness which may be felt.”
חֹשֶׁךְ
Darkness. Choshek. The absence of light. God separated light from darkness. Jesus said He is the light of the world. Whoever follows Him will not walk in darkness.

To incline, to stretch out, to bend. Natah. He inclined His ear to me. God bends down to listen. He positions Himself to hear the faintest cry of His people.
