“And when they did mete it with an omer, he that gathered much had nothing over, and he that gathered little had no lack; they gathered every man according to his eating.”
חָסֵר
Lack, be without, need. To be in want means to lack something necessary. David says with the LORD as his shepherd he shall not lack anything. Every need is covered.
