“And Jethro, Moses’ father in law, came with his sons and his wife unto Moses into the wilderness, where he encamped at the mount of God:”

To encamp, to pitch a tent. Chanah. The angel of the LORD encamps around those who fear Him. God surrounds His people with His protective presence.
