“And they shall eat those things wherewith the atonement was made, to consecrate and to sanctify them: but a stranger shall not eat thereof, because they are holy.”
כָּפַר
Cover, atone. Kaphar. To cover over sin. The root of Yom Kippur, the Day of Atonement. At the cross Jesus made the ultimate kaphar, covering our sin completely and forever.
קֹדֶשׁ
are a holy thing

Holiness, sacredness. Qodesh. That which belongs to God. Holy holy holy is the LORD of hosts. His holiness fills the whole earth.
