“That they may believe that the Lord God of their fathers, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob, hath appeared unto thee.”

To see, to look, to perceive. Raah. The LORD sees not as man sees. Man looks on the outward appearance but God looks on the heart.
