“Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage.”
ἐλευθερία
Freedom, liberty, release. Eleutheria. It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Not freedom to sin but freedom from sin. The most profound liberty is inner liberty.

Jesus. Iesous. The Greek form of Yeshua meaning the LORD saves. The name given before His birth. In His name is salvation healing and authority over every power of darkness.

Slave, servant, bondservant. Doulos. Paul a servant of Jesus Christ. The highest title Paul claimed was slave of Christ. Belonging completely to Jesus is the greatest freedom.

The one set apart and equipped for a specific task. Oil was poured on kings, priests and prophets in the Old Testament — the anointing meant: this one is chosen, this one is sent. Jesus stands up in Nazareth and reads Isaiah — and then says: this is Me. I am the one sent.

Free, liberate, exempt. Eleutheroo. The truth will set you free, and the Son sets free indeed. This is not mere relief from obligation but release into a new kind of life. Walk in it.

Yoke, burden, pair of scales. Zugos. My yoke is easy and my burden is light. A yoke is shared. When you take Jesus's yoke He bears most of the weight. You never carry it alone.

Slavery, bondage. Douleía. The spirit of slavery leads back to fear, but adoption leads to freedom. You were not made for bondage. Walk in your inheritance.

Ensnare, hold a grudge. Enéchō. Herodias harbored this feeling against John and sought to destroy him. A grudge is a trap you set for another but step into yourself. Release it.
