“And make me savoury meat, such as I love, and bring it to me, that I may eat; that my soul may bless thee before I die.”

Life, soul, living being. Nephesh. The animating breath God places in every living creature. In animals it is the life force. In humanity it is the seat of emotion, will and identity. Every nephesh belongs to God — from the creatures in the sea to the deepest cry of the human heart.

I will die

To die, to be put to death. Muth. The sting of death is sin. But death has been swallowed up in victory. Jesus holds the keys of death.
