“And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel.”
שׁוּף
Bruise, crush, strike. Shuwph. He shall bruise your head and you shall bruise His heel. The cross looked like a bruise. It was actually a crushing defeat of the enemy.

Enmity

Enmity, hostility. Eybah. God put enmity between the serpent and the woman. The battle between good and evil was declared by God Himself. He wins.
