“They shall perish; but thou remainest; and they all shall wax old as doth a garment;”
διαμένω
Remain, stay constantly, endure. Diaménō. What is of God does not drift or dissolve. Stay rooted.

Garment, clothing, cloak. Himátion. Jesus said do not worry about what you will wear, yet soldiers gambled for his himátion at the cross. What we wear matters far less than who we follow. Seek him first.

Worn out, obsolete, made old. Palaióō. What God declares obsolete is fading and ready to vanish. Do not cling to what he has superseded.
