“These all died in faith, not having received the promises, but having seen them afar off, and were persuaded of them, and embraced them, and confessed that they were strangers and pilgrims on the earth.”

Pilgrim, stranger, one passing through. Parepidemos. We are strangers and pilgrims on the earth. Earth is not our permanent home. Live lightly here and invest heavily in what lasts.

Faith, trust, belief, faithfulness. Pistis. Without faith it is impossible to please God. Faith is the currency of the kingdom. Everything flows to those who trust God completely.
