“How shall we escape, if we neglect so great salvation; which at the first began to be spoken by the Lord, and was confirmed unto us by them that heard him; ”

From soter — saviour, the one who rescues from danger. Soteria is comprehensive — healing, wholeness, rescue, preservation. Peter stands before the council and says there is no other name. Not as arrogance. As the deepest mercy — there is one who can save, and His name is Jesus.

To save, to heal, to deliver. Sozo. Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners. Sozo covers salvation healing deliverance and wholeness. Jesus restores everything that was lost.
