Hebrews 7:2
King James Version
9 Jun 2026
“To whom also Abraham gave a tenth part of all; first being by interpretation King of righteousness, and after that also King of Salem, which is, King of peace;”
εἰρήνη
The Greek eirene carries the Hebrew shalom: wholeness, completeness, nothing missing, nothing broken. Jesus says in Me you have eirene, not in the absence of trouble, but in the middle of it. The peace He gives is not the peace of circumstances. It is the peace of His presence.
