“In that he saith, A new covenant, he hath made the first old. Now that which decayeth and waxeth old is ready to vanish away. ”
καινός
New, fresh, recently made. Kainos. A new commandment I give you. Kainos means new in quality not just new in time. The new covenant is better in kind not just newer in age.
