“For finding fault with them, he saith, Behold, the days come, saith the Lord, when I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah:”

New, fresh, recently made. Kainos. A new commandment I give you. Kainos means new in quality not just new in time. The new covenant is better in kind not just newer in age.

Lord, master, owner. Kurios. Jesus is Lord. The foundational confession of Christianity. Lord means owner. To confess Jesus as Lord is to surrender ownership of your life.
