Hebrews 9:28
King James Version
6 Jun 2026
“So Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many; and unto them that look for him shall he appear the second time without sin unto salvation. ”
σωτηρία
From soter — saviour, the one who rescues from danger. Soteria is comprehensive — healing, wholeness, rescue, preservation. Peter stands before the council and says there is no other name. Not as arrogance. As the deepest mercy — there is one who can save, and His name is Jesus.

Χριστός
The one set apart and equipped for a specific task. Oil was poured on kings, priests and prophets in the Old Testament — the anointing meant: this one is chosen, this one is sent. Jesus stands up in Nazareth and reads Isaiah — and then says: this is Me. I am the one sent.
