“Break forth into joy, sing together, ye waste places of Jerusalem: for the Lord hath comforted his people, he hath redeemed Jerusalem.”
גָּאַל
To redeem, to act as kinsman. Gaal. The kinsman-redeemer who steps in to rescue. Jesus is our goel. He paid the price we could not pay.
רָנַן
shout for joy

To shout, to sing for joy. Ranan. Sing for joy to God our strength. Ranan is a ringing cry of joy that cannot be contained.
