Quarrel, dispute, fight. Máchomai. The servant of the Lord must not quarrel, but be gentle toward all. Strife reveals what peace has not yet settled. Choose gentleness.

To war, to battle, to fight. Polemeō. The same word describes both earthly conflict and the spiritual battles raging around us. Not every fight is yours to enter, but none are won by standing still.

Through, by means of, because of. Dia. God works through circumstances, through people, through suffering itself. Nothing is incidental in his hands.
