“Why will ye die, thou and thy people, by the sword, by the famine, and by the pestilence, as the Lord hath spoken against the nation that will not serve the king of Babylon?”
עָבַד
To serve, to work, to worship. Abad. You shall worship the LORD your God and Him only shall you serve. Worship and service are the same word in Hebrew.

will you die

To die, to be put to death. Muth. The sting of death is sin. But death has been swallowed up in victory. Jesus holds the keys of death.
