“They shall cut down her forest, saith the Lord, though it cannot be searched; because they are more than the grasshoppers, and are innumerable.”
חָקַר
To be fully known and not rejected — that is the miracle of Psalm 139. Chaqar is the searching of a jeweller examining a stone, a judge examining evidence. God has searched you completely. He knows the parts you hide from everyone else. And He has not turned away. That is the foundation of all confidence.
