“He hath made the earth by his power, he hath established the world by his wisdom, and hath stretched out the heaven by his understanding.”

the earth (as moist and therefore inhabited); by extension, the globe; by implication, its inhabitants; specifically, a particular land, as Babylonia, Palestine
שָׁמַיִם
the heavens

Heaven, sky. Shamayim. The visible sky and the spiritual realm where God dwells. God inhabits eternity but also dwells with the humble and contrite in spirit.

he stretched out

To incline, to stretch out, to bend. Natah. He inclined His ear to me. God bends down to listen. He positions Himself to hear the faintest cry of His people.

To do, to make, to accomplish. Asah. God looked at everything He had made and called it very good. Your life is also His asah. He is still working on it.

To be firm, to be established, to be ready. Kun. God establishes what He builds. He who began a good work in you will bring it to completion.
