“If I covered my transgressions as Adam, by hiding mine iniquity in my bosom:”
פֶּשַׁע
Transgression, rebellion. Pesha. Wilful rebellion against God. Not just a mistake but a deliberate crossing of a known boundary. God forgives even this completely.

To cover, to conceal. Kasah. He who covers his sin will not prosper. Covering sin keeps it alive. Confessing it ends it. Bring it into the light.
