“Again the next day after John stood, and two of his disciples;”

To stand, to set, to place. Histemi. Having done all stand. Stand therefore. When you have done everything else there is still this. Stand in what Christ has already accomplished.

Not just a follower — a learner who becomes like the teacher. The last command Jesus gives is not go and convert — it is go and make mathetes. People who learn from Me, walk like Me, think like Me, love like Me. The mission is not decisions. It is transformation.

The next day, tomorrow. Epaurion. Scripture often marks what happens on the day after, the morning following a miracle, a death, a decision. God's work does not pause. Show up for the next day.

Two, a pair. Dýo. A witness requires two, a cord of two is not easily broken, and Jesus sent his disciples out two by two. Agreement between two carries weight.
